Meet the Artist...
"As a small child during WWII, my favorite activity was
to draw airplanes that I heard described on the radio news reports.
Growing up in White Plaines, gave me an opportunity to frequently
visit New York City. Unbeknownst to my mother, I would travel
by train or bus into Manhattan and sneak into the Metropolitan
Museum of Art. It was there surrounded by some of the world's
greatest paintings, that I became fascinated with Rembrandt and
van Gogh.
After a brief tour in the army, I used my G.I. Bill to attend
Parsons School of Design, where I graduated with a degree in graphics
and fine arts. It was at Parson's where I began my fascination
with color. I completed my B.A. in Fine Arts at New York University
and pursued a career as an artist; benefiting from the montage
of cultural resources in the city. I was known as a "Hudson
River Painter" I was known as a Hudson River Painter, but now enjoy bringing vitality and color to the Florida and New England landscapes."
