on the size and complexity of the subject. On the average, I create
10 to 12 quality paintings a year.
Do you paint in oils or acrylics? I paint in oils because
it is a time proven medium. In addition, I love the flexibility
of oil.
Do you use a model or paint from memory? I do both.
Why do you use strong, vivid colors? I think that color
brings strength and vitality to my subjects and more accurately
reflect the essence of the world as it is.

Florida's abundant light demands a brilliant palette.

an impact on my eye.
How do you compose your subject? I am attracted by the
angle of the subject that most people do not see, but which holds
my interest as an artist.
